Junior Equestrian Festival Horse Show (JEF): It is a 2 day event designed to inform and educate student riders about the many college opportunities and various formats of college equestrian competitions, as well as to provide riders with resources to help them create their desired college equestrian experience. In accordance with the Junior Equestrian Festival’s mission, the JEF Horse Show will promote academics and horsemanship, by having representatives from colleges, universities and their riding teams at the event to meet and greet students. The JEF Horse Show is a horse draw format competition. Horses will be provided by JEF for the competition component of the event. Riders may not bring their own horses for the competition. Each competitor will draw a level appropriate horse for their classes. There is no warm up for the flat. Competitors have two warm-up jumps before their over fences round. All riders and coaches will have an opportunity to watch all horses be schooled for the competition.

College Fair at the Junior Equestrian Festival Horse Show: – Representatives and coaches from colleges and universities around the country will be invited to the JEF Horse Show to meet the riders entered in the competition. They will provide information regarding degrees offered at their school, their equestrian team, barn facility, admission procedures and available scholarships. Certain colleges and universities may even offer interviews on site. Coaches from these colleges and universities will be able to watch prospective students compete in the horse show, provide information about the degrees offered at their school, their equestrian team, barn facility, admissions procedures, and available scholarships.

Junior Equestrian Festival Clinic: In addition to the competition and the academic components to the JEF Horse Show, there will be a mounted clinic offered to a limited amount of JEF participants. Clinic participants may bring a horse to the clinic. Horses may be provided in the 2′ level for clinic participants on a first come first serve basis. Clinic options are as follows:

** Hunt Seat Equitation Riding Clinic with a rental horse (2’)
** Hunt Seat Equitation Riding Clinic with your own horse (2’)
** Hunt Seat Equitation Riding Clinic with your own horse (2’6)
** Hunt Seat Equitation Riding Clinic with your own horse (3’)

Scholarships will be provided at all JEF Competitions. As an affiliate of the College Preparatory Invitational Horse Show (CPI), all scholarships provided at JEF Competitions will be administered and distributed by CPI.
